Well I’ve been buying and selling on eBay… Mainly selling, but I’ve managed to fill the gaps in my D&D collection at quite a reasonable price too.
They are (in case you don’t know):
- Moldvay’s Basic D&D Rules; a classic that I missed out on, being born into the Mentzer generation, which I quickly left behind for AD&D
- Holmes’ OD&D.2 Rules: never owned it, but wanted to fill the gap… It’s cheap as chips too!
- Lost City: love Red Nails, so had to get this!
- Castle Amber: been after this for a while, ever since I heard about the CAS connection
- The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan: no reason, I just fancied this really…
- Dark Times in Brighton: obviously not a retro-buy as such, but I spotted it and liked the name, hence I bought it anyway… Not so sure about it now, alas… It’s not bad, but it is obviously focused as a product for younger players… A little bland, I’m afraid, but some good ideas are to found…
- Nightmare in Blackmarsh: a not very well know slice of Games Workshop nostalgia – quite brilliant! If TSR produced this the OSR crowd would be creaming themselves inside-out! This, however, was a throwaway GW product in the greater scheme of things…
Okay, you can move on now, as I have nothing else to say… I just wanted to share…

Awesome. Enjoy and then add a post about your thoughts especially Castle Amber. Oh, and the Lost City is one of my favorites.
Will do!
